Professionally mounted by expert tire installers using quality equipment. Trained to handle vehicles equipped with Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems. (TPMS) |
The Rubber valve stems retain air in the tire wheel assembly. We replace them with new tires to assure proper air retention. * Not used with TPMS Systems |
As fuel costs keep going up, regulations to protect the environment are tightening down. Because of its larger molecular size, nitrogen migrates through a tire 3 to 4 times slower than oxygen. A tire filled with air will lose 1.5 PSI in less than a month: with nitrogen, it could take 3 months or longer. |
Misalignment of wheels in the front or rear can cause uneven and rapid tread wear and should be corrected by a tire dealer. Have your alignment checked periodically as specified by the vehicle owner’s manual or whenever you have an indication of trouble such as “Pulling.” Alignments should be checked every 12 months or 12,000 miles. |
Computerized monitoring system to let you know when there is a decline in tire pressure. Installed on all vehicles 2008 or newer. Our techs are fully trained to reset this system after each tire change or repair. |
We dispose of your old tires through state licensed haulers and recyclers. We want your old tires to be taken care of properly to protect the environment. |
At Myers we use torque wrenches on each lug nut and apply torque as stated by the vehicle manufacturer. |
Sometimes irregular tire wear can be corrected by rotating your tires. Always refer to your owners manual for specific rotation recommendations. If no rotation period is specified, tires should be rotated every 5,000-8,000 miles. Be sure to check inflation pressure after rotation. |
Unbalanced tires can cause irregular wear and stress to your vehicle’s suspension. At Myers we computer balance all tires mounted to exact specifications. We have switched to the new lead composite weights because of environmental concern for the use of lead. |
TIRE CARE FACTS 27% of passenger cars and 32% of pickup trucks SUV’s and minivans have at least one significant under inflated tire. 9% of tires on the road are bald. A tire can lose as much as 50% of its inflation pressure and not appear to be flat. Inflation pressure in a tire goes up (in warm weather) or down (in cold weather) 1-2 pounds for every 10 degrees of temperature change. |
